Integrated system to follow up the production and export of agricultural crops


In view of the difficulties and challenges faced by Egyptian agricultural exports during the recent period under the resolutions of some States banning the importation of certain Egyptian agricultural products and some other products undergo compulsory pre-export analysis, impose additional screening procedures on some other products, and threaten some States to impose stricter measures for Egyptian agricultural exports if there is no noticeable improvement in the safety of shipments exported, under such pressure it is incumbent upon the Council to play its role as the official representative of the agricultural export sector in Egypt, which is mandated to develop and promote this sector Remove any impediments to this, in consultation with governmental and non-governmental bodies, in coordination with the Minister of Trade and Industry and the Minister Agriculture and Land Reclamation the Council's recent efforts to organize work in this important sector culminated in the issuance of joint Ministerial Decision No. 670 Of the new system for the control of the production and export of export products of significant import (annex), which oversees the Council are currently being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation and Horticultural Export Improvement Association, which has been implemented on exports Egypt of grapes this season is successfully being applied to Egypt's exports of strawberries and new season pepper, the system primarily aims to ensure that the export of a safe product that conforms to the requirements of importing countries and restores Egyptian agricultural products that export their natural status.


The Joint Ministerial Decision No. 670 of 2017 provided for specific conditions that must be met on the farm, which are simple but essential requirements in any farm and the same for the filling stations, besides the decision also includes the requirements for the packing places for the crops that do not need Equipped filling stations (to be determined in a timely manner). Mechanism for implementation of the resolution • The farms /Packing stations/ assembly centers apply to the Agricultural Export Council (annex) for registration and accreditation. • A committee composed of Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine and the Horticultural Export Improvement Association-HEIA and the Agricultural Export Council will be established to examine these farms, stations and assembly centers and ensure that the required requirements are met, and in this match, the following shall be:- -Provide a specific code for each farm that is approved. -Provide a specific code for each packing station or assembly center that is approved. -The exporting company is obliged to place the farm code and packing station code on the exported box. -The control bodies (Egyptian Quarantine- General Organization For Export & Import Control) are notified of a list of farms, packing stations, approved assembly centers and their codes; for not allowing export from outside these codes. the poisoning from the outside of these areas is not permitted. -Make sure that the codes are placed on packaging, agricultural certificate and certificate of origin. -The areas cultivated in each farm, the quantity of production and the quantity that is suitable for export are determined, so that export from the farm is allowed only within the quantity previously identified and the Egyptian Agricultural quarantine is carried out by the factoring, and in the case of the end of the farm's quantities, the code will be closed.

• Is export limited only to companies that have certified farms and packaging stations?

Answer: Export is open to all exporting companies, whether or not they own a farm or a filling station, as long as the company will obtain the exported product from a certified farm and packing at an approved station.


• Is it permissible for a farmer who has been adopted to sell all or part of his production to an exporting company?

Answer: Yes a farm that has been approved may waive all or part of its crop for one or more exporting companies, provided that it is within the approved quantity of the crop at the farm.


• Is it permissible for the packing station to carry out packing for others?

Answer: This is permissible for the station code to be placed on packing packaging and indicated in the exported consignment sheets.


• Is the farm or station approved for all crops at this time?

Answer: No system will be applied on a sequential basis to all crops.
